Manchester City boss Sven Goran Eriksson is determined to explore every avenue in order to qualify for Europe.

"I think it's going to be an extremely difficult gap to make up on the team who finishes fifth now," said Eriksson.

"But I think sixth or seventh place could be good enough for the InterToto Cup. It depends, too, on who wins the FA Cup and the position of Portsmouth.

"As long as there is a possibility of us making Europe, the players and I will not give up, that's for sure."
