Man City boss Eriksson welcomes back Elano

Elano will be back to boost Manchester City in this weekend's clash with Bolton Wanderers.

"Elano is almost sure to be fit for the Bolton game," City boss Sven Goran Eriksson confirmed. "The plan is that he will he return to full training today."

The Blues will also be boosted by Didi Hamann's availability after the German midfielder served a one-match ban at the weekend for accumulating five yellow cards.

Despite the defeat in London, the seventh without success on the road this season, Eriksson today remained upbeat about the future both immediate and long term.

"We are a young team and I still see the future as being very bright," he said. "The mentality is right and we are moving forward. The future is ours even if we did lose at Spurs.

"We had a lot of young players in the side who will all improve together as a group."
