Manchester City boss Sven Goran Eriksson says they haven't missed a step since losing Sylvain Distin to Portsmouth in the summer.

Before yesterday's 0-0 draw at Fratton Park, Eriksson said: "I don't know him personally, but I know he's an extremely good defender. He's strong, a very good footballer for a centre half, and from what I hear he's doing very well for Portsmouth. Everybody here also still talks in good terms about him.

"But, we've not missed him because we have some very good centre halves here, with Micah Richards getting better and better."
