Manchester City boss Sven Goran Eriksson admits a powerhouse midfielder is a target for the January market.

He said: "We are not geared to win the first ball in the air and we are not particularly good at winning the second ball. We do not have that kind of aggressive central midfielder.

"In Johnson and Hamann we have football players, they are not players who will run up and down winning the bits and pieces. So we do not play a game where we move the ball quickly in the air."
