Manchester City boss Sven Goran Eriksson admits he has no idea how his high-flying side will cope with the Premier League's festive schedule.

City secured a ninth successive home win on Saturday with a 4-2 victory over Bolton, but Eriksson admits the hard work starts now as his side attempt to fulfil their Premier League top six ambitions.

The Swede recognises that the heavy domestic schedule over Christmas and the New Year could be a culture shock for his eight summer signings.

"We have a lot of players in the squad who are used to going on holiday from next week," said Eriksson.

"They are not used to playing twice a week at this time. How will they handle it? That is a big question - and I really don't know the answer."
