Manchester City are moving for Portsmouth striker Yakubu Aiyegbeni.

The Mirror says Sven Goran Eriksson sees the Nigerian frontman as a guaranteed source of goals for his new club, who failed to record a single Premiership strike at home after New Year's Day.

And with Middlesbrough willing to sell if bidders match their £10m valuation, the former Portsmouth man is set to be the first of a number of new faces at City.
