Manchester City boss Sven Goran Eriksson admits he allowed Ched Evans to return to Norwich on-loan because of the return to full fitness of Danny Sturridge.

"Yes that's right," Eriksson told City's website. "Ched's gone back out to Norwich for one month at least and after the month we can take him back if we want.

"He's done well on loan already and he scored again at the weekend."
