Manchester City boss Sven Goran Eriksson says he's lent on the club's scouting network to make his raft of new foreign signings.
He told City's website: "It's been a mixture, some of these players coming in, the scouts of Manchester City have seen them last season or even two seasons ago.
"Some of the others came via contacts in Italy, Portugal, all over the place and of course I know a lot of managers. If we look at Elano, I know Lucescu [Shakhtar Donetsk manager] very, very well and had all the talks with him before the transfer was done. So it was a little bit of everything getting the players in, but the scouts here have done a very good job."
