Manchester City boss Sven Goran Eriksson admits more of his young players could move away on-loan in the coming weeks.

Eriksson said: "(Shaleum) Logan is on loan, we've got Kasper (Schmeichel) out, Ishmael Miller is scoring for West Brom and maybe before the deadline we might be able to give one or two more of the young players the chance to go out on loan.

"I think it's the right policy to have and to let them play football. The important thing is that we find the right clubs for them, first of all where they play football, good football and where they can play regularly.

"For some of them, I think it would be very good if they go out on loan, because I think it's better to play football in the league than in the reserves."

Eriksson admitted he has had plenty of interest from rival managers keen to take his players on loan.

He said: "Now and then, we have had clubs who wanted to take our players on loan.

"I can tell you, without naming names, that I got a phone call a few weeks ago asking for one of our very good players.

"He said: 'I've got some problems, can I take him on loan?' This wasn't a Premier League team, but a Championship team.

"I said: 'No chance. Not even a discussion.' Then we played on the Saturday against Newcastle, and on the Sunday morning I got a text message from the same manager saying: 'I understand why you said 'no' now!'" Former Manchester United defender David May is emigrating to the United Arab Emirates.

May is is to take up a post as head of football at a new Dubai school and told the Manchester Evening News: "A friend working out in Dubai asked me if I knew of any ex-United player who might be interested in going over and running the football at a school.

"I said: 'Me. I'll have it' - and that was it. That was the interview. He rang the headmaster and within two or three days I was offered the job.

"My wife is delighted and the kids can't wait. It is for two years initially but it is an open contract. If we enjoy it and we all settle down I can stay on.

"It is a chance of a lifetime and I have to take it. The most important thing for me is my family and I want to give them the best start in life. Fingers crossed it will go well.

"I have been out there for the last month and seen what I like so we are going to take a gamble and enjoy it."
