Manchester City boss Sven Goran Eriksson will fly out to Mexico tomorrow for talks with their FA.
The Mexicans are prepared to offer Eriksson a two-year contract worth around £4.5m, which runs up to the end of the 2010 World Cup.
Sven plans to watch Mexico's friendlies with Argentina and Peru in the next few days before making a decision.
But Mexican FA chief Justino Compean declared: "We expect us to close this deal on June 2 and the day after we will present our new national coach."
