Man City boss Eriksson impressed by Ramos

Manchester City manager Sven-Goran Eriksson has hailed the immediate impact made by his opposite number Juande Ramos ahead of Sunday's Barclays Premier League clash with Tottenham at Eastlands.

Eriksson was impressed by Ramos's ability to turn things around at White Hart Lane after his arrival in October, culminating in the club's deserved Carling Cup final victory over Chelsea last month.

And he knows Ramos will bring a talented team to the north-west, seeking to Eriksson said: "Ramos has been doing a brilliant job - absolutely fantastic. They won the Carling Cup and they won it in style, and I feel they were unlucky the other day in the UEFA Cup (against PSV Eindhoven when they lost on penalties)."

Commending Tottenham's long-term hopes of muscling in on the so-called 'big four', Eriksson added: "I'm quite sure they have that ambition. They have a good team and if you look at the squad they have it's really top."
