Manchester City boss Sven Goran Eriksson says he'd love to sign more English stars.

"It is possible I could bring in someone from England but you have to look at the market," he said. "The difficulty when you take players from England is the price.

"I bought Javier Garrido (for £1.5million from Real Sociedad) but if we wanted to sign an English alternative, we would be looking at Wayne Bridge or Ashley Cole - and what would the cost be?

"The only way to get more young English players into the Premier League is to keep working at youth level so the talent eventually comes through, as big talents, such as Micah Richards and Wayne Rooney always will."
