Man City boss Eriksson happy with squad

Manchester City boss Sven Goran Eriksson is happy with his squad after no deadline day deals on Friday.

Eriksson told City's website: "It's been a busy time for many, many weeks, we've taken in some players and some will still leave today.

"Danny Mills has gone on loan to Charlton and there will be some others, but I can't say until it's all done. I don't think any more will come in."

Having brought eight players in since his arrival in early July in what has been a record-breaking transfer window for the Blues, Eriksson stressed that any more additions will have to improve the hand that he already has to choose from.

"I'm very happy with the situation, we have the funds to do something in January if we need to. There has been a lot of talk about players coming in, but we have a good squad and a good team, I don't like the idea of taking in players just to make the numbers up. If we take players in, they have to make the team and the squad better.

"All the signings have been good signings, they have all shown that on the pitch but I know that the so-called project here is far from finished. There are the funds to bring in quality players in January, if we think we need it."
