Manchester City boss Sven Goran Eriksson insists his team will feature England players eventually, but only from their academy.

Eriksson said: "I have been criticised for not taking English players. But if I want an English player of the same standard of Elano or Martin Petrov we will have to pay twice as much, so what should we do?

"But we do have one England international in our side and there are more good English players coming through academy."
