Man City boss Eriksson dismisses job doubters

Manchester City boss Sven Goran Eriksson has scoffed at reports he's lost the confidence of chairman Thaksin Shinawatra.

"I don't feel under pressure," Eriksson responded. "I feel pressure to get results but if you're asking if I feel pressure from one person then, no, not a chance. I have worked with different chairmen since 1979 and I don't feel pressure from it. The owner is not happy? I hope that's right. I don't have happy players here. I'm not happy. Nor are my coaching staff. That's normal when a team is not playing well."

"It's only two weeks ago," he pointed out, "that he [Thaksin] said that if we finished in the top 10 it would be a very good season."
