Manchester City boss Sven-Goran Eriksson is waiting to hear whether Darius Vassell has decided to join Derby.

Vassell is surplus to requirements at City following Eriksson's massive recruitment drive. Discussions have taken place with the 27 year old, but Eriksson is yet to discover whether the Birmingham-born player will be leaving.

"It is a fact Derby are interested in Darius - but I have not heard any results," said Eriksson. "I should find out more soon."
