Man City boss Eriksson covering own hotel bills

Manchester City boss Sven Goran Eriksson is covering his own living costs as he seeks to settle in the city.

Eriksson earned a reputation as a money-grabber while in charge of England, largely because he continued to be paid around £13,000 a day by the FA a year after he quit.

But Eriksson - now charming fans and former critics in his new role at Manchester City - is proving he is not so cash-obsessed after all, by paying his own way at his city centre hotel. While most clubs pay relocation expenses, Eriksson insisted on forking out for his own accommodation and living costs.
