Manchester City boss Sven Goran Eriksson has explained why Valeri Bojinov has not been training with the first team squad this week.

Bojinov is working his way back from knee surgery and Eriksson told City's website: "We took him out of football training because he needs to reinforce his leg muscles, so he has been training in the gym. We decided it was best to have him do that, rather than play for the reserves last week, but it should only be another two weeks or so before he is back playing football again."
