Manchester City boss Sven Goran Eriksson has moved to allay fitness concerns for star midfielder Martin Petrov.
"There's been a bit of confusion," Eriksson told City's website, "because I had two phone calls from people saying that he was badly injured. The club doctor and myself tried to reach him, and I eventually got his Bulgarian mobile number on Saturday.
"I spoke to him and asked what was going on, and he told me it's nothing. He says that he got a knock but that he's going to play on Wednesday. It's nothing, I don't know where it came from that he was badly injured, because he's not."
