Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini has blocked Michael Johnson's potential loan move to the English Championship.
The 22-year old midfielder has appeared just four times for City since the 2007/08 season, mainly due to injury, and is looking to get back to full fitness by going on loan to either Leeds United or Crystal Palace.
But it is believed that Mancini wants to keep Johnson around after having him in his squad for Tuesday's Europa League clash with Aris Salonika. He is also likely to be on the bench for the FA Cup meeting with Notts County on the weekend.
