Fernandinho has given Manchester City a lift by announcing he expects to be fit within 15 days. Concerns were raised that the Brazilian could face a month on the sidelines with a thigh injury, but he is recovering well and has an outside chance of playing against Barcelona in the Champions League on February 18.

Fernandinho tweeted: "Good afternoon, I would like to tell you about my injury and quell rumours. I return to play in 15 days or less!"
