Man City board has not ratified Thaksin's Eriksson decision

There is no board agreement over Manchester City chairman Thaksin Shinawatra's mooted decision to dump manager Sven Goran Eriksson.

The Manchester Evening News says if the Blues board had discussed Eriksson's future, chief executive Alistair Mackintosh, ex-chairman John Wardle and Bryan Bodek would have advised caution.

Bodek, Wardle and Mackintosh remained on the board after last summer's £80m takeover, and were joined by chairman Thaksin, his son Panthongtae and daughter Pintongta, Sasin Monvoisin and Taweesuk Jack Srisumrid.

Monvoisin is the wife of the former Thai Ambassador to Britain, while Srisumrid is the official adviser to the chairman and executive director.

After Sunday's meeting, further talks are planned about Eriksson's severance package, which will be worth at least £1m.
