West Bromwich Albion's Adil Nabi can't wait to taste some first-team action following his recent bench experience.
?Youngster Nabi was on the bench for the Baggies' 3-0 loss to Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium last weekend and is now looking to go one step further for the West Midlands club.
?"It was a good experience. I have had a few already now and I'm looking forward to actually getting on the pitch," he told the Birmingham Mail.
"I've had a feel of it and been in and around it for quite a bit so hopefully the next step is getting on the pitch and getting some minutes.
?"I've been on the bench in the Premier League and I've had a few in the cup as well.
?"The Etihad was a great place to come, against the champions in a big stadium with a lot of world-class players around, but you just have to take it in your stride and hope that one day you can be one of those players."
?Rising through the ranks at the club, Nabi has played with West Brom star Saido Berahino at various youth levels.
?"I have played with him since we were 12 and I know him really well," he added. "We have played a lot of football together.
?"He is doing really, really well so if I can implement that it can only help me being around him all the time.
?"We lived close as kids and we used to share journeys to training all the time.
?"To see him doing so well is great and if I can keep going and do the same there will be two of us playing."?
