Manchester City are battling AC Milan for Nicolas N'Koulou, the Marseille centre-back.
Le Parisien says City boss Roberto Mancini has reportedly switched his focus on to N'Koulou after having seen two bids rejected for Liverpool defender Daniel Agger.
N'Koulou joined Marseille from Monaco last summer, and put in a busy and impressive first season - to the extent that the Cameroon international was reckoned to be on Barcelona's watch list.
That interest seems to have dried up, leaving City and Milan to slug it out.
