Manchester City are believed to be again interested in the services of Liverpool striker Fernando Torres.
The cashed-up Eastlands club were linked with the Spaniard towards the end of last season and in the early stages of the off-season but confirmation that Torres wanted to remain at Anfield ended any speculation.
But following the departure of Rafael Benitez from his post as manager, City are again on the hunt as they were aware that the Spanish pair had a strong relationship.
It is expected that City will have some hot competition from champions Chelsea who are prepared to break records to secure his signature.
