Man City back on course after semi-stutter says Nasri

Samir Nasri believes Manchester City have bounced back well from their mini-slump just over two weeks ago.

The then-league leaders lost to Sporting Lisbon 1-0 in the Europa League before being beaten at Swansea City by the same scoreline to relinquish top spot on the Premier League table to Manchester United.

City then conceded twice to Sporting in the return leg at home before just missing out on a brilliant comeback with three late goals which saw them fall short on the away goals rule.

On Wednesday, City fell behind to Chelsea and their title looked on the line before two late goals - one from Sergio Aguero and the winner from Nasri - allowed them to remain a point behind United and the Frenchman feels they may have turned a corner after that fighting victory.

"After Swansea we could not say anything," Nasri said.

"We had a really bad game, they played really well, and we were a little bit tired after the trip from Lisbon.

"But after that we recovered and we talked, and said a few things, that we came here to win titles.

"We said that we need to be focused because the 10 games that are left are 10 Champions League finals and we want to win them.

"Since then we have shown great character against Sporting and now against Chelsea.

"There will always be someone there to criticise. Not everyone can like City - there will be some who will say we were weak on Wednesday night.

"But inside the club we believe that we can achieve something together, and that is most important."
