Manchester City have warned Barcelona off midfielder Ilkay Gundogan.

The Manchester Evening News says City will resist offers to sign Ilkay Gundogan this summer.

Pep Guardiola's first signing at the club is reportedly a target for Barcelona , who are willing to pay more than £50m as they approach the unenviable task of replacing Andres Iniesta.

Inter Milan have also shown an interest in the German midfielder, who is entering the final two years of his contract at the Etihad .

City, however, are calm about the situation and are not interested in selling a player valued so highly by the manager.
