Manchester City have opened talks with Everton for John Stones.
The Daily Star says the England centre-back, 22, has made it clear he wants to play under Pep Guardiola.
City have opened talks with the Toffees but the two clubs are yet to agree a fee.
The Merseysiders are insisting on £50m-plus, which is around £10m more than City want to pay.
Stones handed in a transfer request last summer and was the subject of three bids from Chelsea.
But Everton held firm and insisted their prized asset was not for sale.
