Manchester City are attempting to close a deal with AS Roma for Daniele De Rossi.
Despite penning a new contract last season, its understood De Rossi is available from Roma for the right price.
The Manchester Evening News says City have not given up hope of bagging Roma midfield star De Rossi in a £15m move.
