Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini has been assured he does not need to sell to buy this summer.
City's financial men believe the addition of three players will be adequate for next season but that doesn't factor in the possibility that skipper Carlos Tevez may quit before the start of the season.
The Eastlands boss was also worried he may have to wait until players like Emmanuel Adebayor and Craig Bellamy are sold before City will spend.
But he was assured his summer business is not reliant on them being sold first.
