Manchester City have asked Valencia about the availability of midfielder Pablo Hernandez.

AS says City chief Garry Cook was among the delegation which met yesterday with Valencia president Manuel Llorente to discuss a range of matters.

Among negotiations were City's long-term interest in David Silva - and they took advantage of the summit to also register their interest in Hernandez.

The midfielder is also a favourite of Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti.
