Manchester City have asked Inter Milan for defender Andrea Ranocchia in talks over Aleksandar Kolarov.
Inter GM Marco Branca has confirmed their interest in the Serbia fullback.
And its emerged during initial talks, City boss Roberto Mancini enquired about Ranocchia's situation.
