Manchester City are in the process of arranging a closed doors friendly with Scottish Premiership team St Johnstone, reports BBC Sport.
The game is yet to be confirmed but is proposed to take place on Wednesday, 3 August at the City Football Academy.
City lost 25% of their competitive pre-season matches on Monday, when their encounter with Manchester United in Beijing was cancelled due to pitch problems.
Coach Pep Guardiola was keen to fill the gap and asked St Johnstone to provide the opposition.
