Man City approach Inter Milan for veteran Materazzi

Manchester City are eyeing Inter Milan defender Marco Materazzi.

City have made contact with Inter about the veteran's availability for the summer market.

Materazzi has lost his place at Inter this season and could drop further down the pecking order if Jose Mourinho is successful in his push for Chelsea centre-half Ricardo Carvalho.
