Man City and Man Utd to pay tribute to bombing victims in pre-season friendly

Manchester City and Manchester United will pay tribute to the victims of the bombing attacks that shook the city in May.

The two clubs will wear the city's worker bee symbol on their jerseys when they face off in Houston next Thursday.

The worker bee has been featured on the Manchester coat of arms since 1842 and has since come to represent the city's togetherness after the attack.

"The city of Manchester has shown great strength and unity since the tragic terror attack in May, showing the country and the world how special this city really is," said United's executive chairman Ed Woodward.
