West Ham United boss Gianfranco Zola is upset after a new contract offer to Valon Behrami was withdrawn, it has been revealed.
The Telegraph says the Switzerland international was expecting to sign a five-year deal at the beginning of last month but it is now believed that Hammers co-owner David Sullivan is keen to sell him in the summer.
The 24 year-old has three years left on his contract but Zola wanted to tie him down and Behrami wanted to sign. He was offered £30,000 a week, still less than half of what some of West Ham's highest earners are paid.
Behrami was linked with Manchester United and Manchester City in January.
