Manchester City expect to have a deal for Juventus fullback Dani Alves this week.
The Daily Mail says Alves is set to be unveiled as a City player before the end of the week following his release by Italian champions Juventus.
Alves had a year remaining on his deal with the Turin giants but has negotiated a mutual termination to set up a reunion with Pep Guardiola, and the 34-year-old will sign a two-year contract at the Etihad Stadium.
The City boss signed the Brazilian for Barcelona in 2008 – paying Sevilla £23m for his services. They went on to enjoy a trophy-laden four years in Catalonia before Guardiola left the club in 2012.
Following the release of Pablo Zabaleta and Gael Clichy, City are in need of right backs and a move for Tottenham's Kyle Walker remains a possibility.
