Manchester City are tracking FC Midtjylland prospect Viktor Fischer.
The 16 year-old midfielder is regarded as one of Denmark's brightest young prospects.
Along with City, Ajax have also been tracking Fischer, with their scout John Steen Olsen admitting they have followed his progress "for several years".
But Ajax face being trumped by City for the attacking midfielder, with the Premier League giants' having already handed the youngster trials earlier this season.
