Manchester City have agreed personal terms with AS Roma defender Mehdi Benatia.
The Daily Express says after an impressive season at Roma, Benatia is thought to be valued at £30million.
Reports suggest Manuel Pellegrini have agreed a deal in principle, but Roma are worried about letting Benatia go without finding a suitable replacement for him.
Roma it is thought are in no rush to sell and will only let the Benatia leave if they can sign players good enough for a title challenge and to compete in Europe's top club competition.
