Manchester City and Atletico Madrid have agreed a fee of just over £4million (4.7m) for Martin Demichelis.
The 32-year old Argentine centre-back only joined Atletico from Malaga this summer but could be sold to City who currently have a shortage in defence following injuries to skipper Vincent Kompany and Matija Nastasic.
Demichelis has yet to agree personal terms with City but Atletico were quick to agree an upfront fee of £3.5m (4.1m) with add-ons of £500,000 (580,000).
