Manchester City will reportedly make a move for Atletico Madrid defender Martin Demichelis as they grow weary of their unsuccessful pursuit of Real Madrid's Pepe.
The 32-year old Argentine centre-back only joined Atletico as a free agent this summer after departing Malaga at the end of last season but could ask to have his contract rescinded.
Reports suggest Atletico will be looking for some kind of compensation if this move does occur, likely to be around £3million, as City continue to sure up their defence.
Manuel Pellegrini has been after Portuguese international Pepe recently but Madrid are not prepared to sell and has now turned his attention to Demichelis.
