Manchester City are in talks with Porto over two of their stars.The Times says City are preparing to flex their muscles in the transfer market after opening discussions to sign Eliaquim Mangala and Fernando from Porto.

France defender Mangala is a top target for City boss Manuel Pellegrini, while midfielder Fernando is seen as cover for Fernandinho.

Manchester United and Liverpool have both been strongly linked with a move for the 26-year-old Fernando, but now it has emerged that City are favourites to capture the Brazilian.
