Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure is up for African Player of the Year.
Toure, 29, heads a five-man shortlist for the 2012 award.
He is joined by fellow Ivorian Dider Drogba, Cameroon's Alex Song, Senegalese striker Demba Ba and Ghanaian Andre Ayew in the final five contenders.
Only Ayew, who plays for French Ligue 1 side Marseille, did not play in England last season.
The winner will be announced in Ghana on December 20.
