Manchester City attacker Raheem Sterling admits the pressure of winning his place has lifted his game.
Sterling has thrived at City under Pep Guardiola despite the £43million arrival of Bernardo Silva putting pressure on him and Leroy Sane for a starting place.
"Bernardo Silva came in and that competition, stuff like that spurs me into trying to do well, to get better," he told the Daily Mail.
Contract talks between Sterling and City are expected to start after the World Cup next summer.
