Sergio Aguero has advised Argentine teammate Lionel Messi to keep patient.
Messi enjoyed a brilliant campaign with Barcelona last season, where his goals guided the Catalan giants to a wonderful treble.
However, Messi has not been able to translate his domestic form at international level for Argentina in recent times after managing only one goal in four Copa America appearances.
Given the ridiculously high standards Messi has set for himself, the striker has been subject to criticism from some quarters in recent times.
Amid the criticism aimed at Messi, however, Albiceleste colleague Aguero has defended the superstar's form at the Copa America so far and also advised him to remain calm.
The Manchester City star said: "Messi always wants to do better and when he doesn't score goals he starts saying 'I did not get lucky'.
"But I tell him 'the goals will come, you have to be patient'. Leo is always under pressure to score goals but there are 10 other players in the team. Messi always gambles and keeps going and that gives us all confidence. If Leo keeps going then we do too."
