Sergio Aguero admits his first months with Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola were difficult.

Aguero, 30, agreed a fresh deal at Manchester City to keep him at the club until 2021.

It looked like the ex-Atletico Madrid star could be off when he lost his place last year and struggled to adapt to Pep's style.

But Aguero said: “I can say I have learned a lot, especially with getting to know him better.

“Obviously at the start you don't know each other but as time goes by you get to know him.

“And this was part of the reason for extending my contract.

"Every player would like to work with Pep to learn lots of things."
