Mamadou Sakho is adamant his Liverpool career is not over.

The Mirror says the Liverpool defender turned down three chances of a loan switch before the transfer window, despite being told by manager Jurgen Klopp he needed to move to get first team football.

Sources in France suggest the international has vowed to “seduce" the manager with his attitude, after spurning moves form Besiktas, West Brom and Stoke.

But sources close to Klopp have suggested he now sees Lucas as defensive cover ahead of Sakho, and even worse for the Frenchman, Kevin Stewart could ALSO be used there in an emergency, after playing that position as a youngster.
