Florent Malouda is happy to resume his career after running down his Chelsea contract.

Malouda is looking forward to a new start when his £80,000-a-week contract expires next month, with former club Lyon among those keen to sign him.

He revealed: "I had a problem to sort out with certain people. It's done. Now, I'm free.

"I'm going to be able to play again next season and I cannot wait.

"I've been preparing all year long. I'll be back next season."
