Florent Malouda faces a long few months at Chelsea.

Malouda has been ditched from Chelsea's Champions League squad.

The French winger, 32, has failed to make the 22-man selection to be submitted to UEFA ahead of the Blues' defence of their European crown.

The veteran now faces having to wait until January to revive his career.
