Florent Malouda is set to present Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti with another headache.
Malouda is facing a possible three-game ban after referee Lee Probert decided to review his clash with Phil Neville.
The official gave a free-kick against Everton after Neville tackled the Chelsea star from behind, but replays showed Malouda slap his opponent in the face and the FA want him to take another look.
Neville did not make an issue of it, racing back into defence and Match of the Day failed to highlight the flashpoint.
Probert will also be asked to take another look at a lunging tackle by Branislav Ivanovic on Seamus Coleman, which David Moyes branded 'disgusting'.
If the referee decides he would have shown either player a red card if he had seen the incidents more clearly, they will be charged with violent conduct.
